AA-T — ELEMENTARY TEACHER EDUCATION
The AA-T in Elementary Teacher Education degree is designed
to prepare students to transfer to a four-year university with an designed to prepare the student for transfer to four year
Associate Degree in Elementary Teacher Education. Students
will compete the lower-division requirements, including pre-
professional supervised experience, needed to be prepared to
enter an Elementary (Multiple Subject) Teaching Credential
Program. Along with their general education requirements,
students will begin their study of how children develop, as well
as the theories and practices of becoming an elementary school
teacher. Program Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of the
program students will be able to: apply developmental theo-
ries to elementary school-age children and elementary school
classrooms, demonstrate an introductory understanding of the
requirements of the Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, and

The AA-T in English is designed to prepare the student for
transfer to four-year institutions of higher education and is
specifically intended to satisfy lower-division requirements
for a baccalaureate degree in English at a California State
University. Program Learning Outcomes: The knowledge
and skills offered in this degree lead students to develop
foundational knowledge in grammar, composition, literary
analysis, and logical argumentation in the field of English.
These skills provide tools for inquiry into local, national,
and global topics within the discipline.

AS-T — FILM, TELEVISION AND ELECTRONIC MEDIA
The AA-T in Film, Television and Electronic Media is
institutions of higher education and is specifically intended
to satisfy lower-division requirements for a baccalaureate
degree in Film, Television, and Media or related fields. The
knowledge and skills offered in this degree lead students to
develop foundational knowledge in the field of Media Arts
including those topics and issues related to global, national,
and local aspects of the field of study. Program Learning
Outcomes: Upon completion of this program, the students
will have the skill to apply concepts of composition, film
language and lighting techniques to support the creative
vision of the director; collaborate effectively as a member of
a team to achieve the challenges of technical and conceptual
high quality final deliverable media production; utilize con-
ceptual editing techniques to support storytelling and solve
story problems through the use of editing dialogue, sound
design, music, and sound effects to complete the creation of
the master for final deliverables.

knowledge in the field of geography including those topics
and issues related to global, national, and local aspects of
the field of study.
