How do Mobility Impairments Affect Students in Their College Experience?

  • Mobility impairments may affect students in many ways. The most obvious to faculty members is when a student needs to use a wheelchair, crutches or other assistive methods for mobility.

  • However, many mobility impairments are not as readily apparent. These can impact all aspects of a student’s academic experience as seriously as ones that are visible.
