COST OF ATTENDANCE

2020-2021 GCC Cost of Attendance

Periodically, the CCC Chancellor’s Office, the UC system, the CSU system, and some private universities in
collaboration with the California Student Aid Commission conduct a state-wide SEARS (Student Expense and

Resource Survey) study. The results are distributed as recommended student budget ranges by the CCC
Chancellor’s Office. The last SEARS study was conducted in 2018. GCC Cost of Attendance is developed annually

using this data from the California Student Aid Commission annual student budgets.

LIVING WITH PARENT (9 MOS):

$1,268–Fees (per sem; $46/unit Enrollment fee x14 units*/sem + $21 Health Fee + $13 Stud. Serv + $2 Student Rep. Fee)
$1,972–Books & Supplies - CSAC budget amount
$8,780–Room & Board - CSAC budget amount
$3,226–Misc. Expenses - CSAC budget amount
$1,278–Transportation - CSAC budget amount
