Glendale Community College District 6140.4 Board
Policy Certificate of Achievement It is the
policy of the Glendale Community College District to confer a certificate of
achievement to any student who has successfully completed any course of study
for which a certificate is offered. Certificate
Programs are primarily business and technical programs for students desiring
education beyond high school. In most
cases these programs are planned without regard to transfer schools; however
many courses are transferable to four-year colleges and universities if
students change their educational goals.
No certificate shall consist of less than six semester units. In
certificates that require eighteen or more units, at least twelve units of the
required courses must be completed at Glendale Community College. By local rule, Certificate Programs of less
than twenty-four semester units may not be used to satisfy the major
requirements for the Associate in Science degree. Adopted: 4/16/01 |
