Locating Information About Essays

There are many ways to locate materials for help in writing essays. Information can be found in circulating books (which may be checked out of the library or viewed online, if available as electronic books); reference and reserve books (for in-library use only); journal or newspaper articles (in both print and online resources such as ProQuest);and web sites.

The English Lab (AD 238 ext. 5339)
Lab technicians are available to answer general questions. The lab offers free availability of Microsoft Word (for Mac), Internet access, on-line writing tutorials, and various programs in sentence combining and paragraph writing.

The Writing Center (AD 226 ext. 5335)
Staffed by writing technicians and student tutors, the center provides tutorial assistance on a drop-in or appointment basis to students who need help in improving their general writing skills or who are working on specific papers and/or projects.
