Although many muscular or mobility impairments can be seen, many
can not.
Students with arthritis, repetitive stress injuries, Multiple
Sclerosis (which often lowers the level of sensitivity in lower
extremities –hand--touch)all may
have mobility impairments that are not easily apparent.
These medical conditions can impact fine motor abilities and
decrease endurance for longer assignments.
Students
with upper body physical impairments may have difficulty with
the following:
turning pages of a book or handouts,
manipulating objects; a beaker in a science class, a pen in a
writing class,
