Summary: In all cases, it is important to remember that the student is responsible for requesting accommodations and providing the necessary documentation to the Center for Students with Disabilities.

Our Counselors and Specialists can then work with you and the student to find the most appropriate and reasonable accommodations. To encourage students to advocate for accommodations, Glendale Community College requires that you put the following statement on your syllabus. “All students with disabilities requiring accommodations are responsible for making arrangements with the Center for Students with disabilities in a timely manner.” (Course Overview-Policy Document, GCC Academic Senate, 2008)
