The library has the Microsoft Office Suite on all computers. Internet access and word processing is also available at other computer labs on campus.
Computer and Internet Use Policy
Using Information Technology at GCC - information regarding "appropriate computing behavior" and "users' rights and responsibilities" for faculty and staff.
Public workstations in the library are to be used for research purposes only. When others are waiting, computer use is limited to 20 minutes.
Mobile Devices Policy
The library has 4 laptops, 5 chromebooks, and 30 iPads available for check out at the Circulation Desk. Patrons must have a valid library account in good standing and must read, agree to, and sign the Mobile Devices Agreements for Laptop/Chromebook or iPad.

Wireless Access
Wireless connectivity is available through various hotspots on campus, including the library. At this time, no technical support or service is available. Students must configure their own computer to access wireless on campus.
Printing
- You may print your documents or webpages from your own laptops, tablets, or cellphones to our print release stations via GCC Printing Service page. You can also print an email message or attachment by forwarding your email directly to glendale-blackandwhite@printspots.com or glendale-color@printspots.com.
- To retrieve print jobs, coins, $1 and $5 bills may be used.
- There are three printers:
- one is located just in front of the Reference collection where the computer stations/carrels are located
- one black and one black/color printer are located in LB 302
- Items cue to all printers and are deleted in one hour if the document is not retrieved.
TIPS:
- When printing a Word, PowerPoint, or Excel document from Moodle , the document must be saved on the desktop before it can be printed properly. Note: printing within Moodle might produce blank pages or pages with only browser frames and nothing else. PDF documents may be printed (without having to save them on the desktop) from Moodle by clicking on the print icon within the PDF reader/viewer.
Copy Machines/Copiers
There are 6 black and white copiers in the first room on the left upon entering the library (LB 301). An additional color copier/printer/scanner is located in LB302.
- Black & white copies are 10 cents per page
- Color copies are 50 cents per page
Flash Drives
Students may use flash drives (thumb drives) to store or download information.
Headsets
Headsets are available at the circulation desk.
Scanner
The library's color copier has a scanning function; scanned pages can be saved onto a thumb drive.
FAX Machine
There is no fax machine available for student use in the library. A fax machine is available in the Business Office next to the Bookstore and can be used by students for a fee.
