General Educational Development Test.

Persons who have reached their eighteenth birthday, and have not graduated from high school, are eligible to take the General Educational Development Test.

The achievement of satisfactory scores, as determined by the guidelines established by the California State Board of Education, will allow the student to decide between two options:

1. Application to the California State Board of Education, Bureau of School Approvals, for the California High School Equivalency Certificate.

2. Submission of the General Educational Development Test scores, along with all other prior secondary school course completion records, to a local adult school for credit toward the high school diploma.

Persons choosing to obtain their high school diploma according to an evaluation by the Non-Credit Education Division of Glendale Community College shall earn Additional high school credits in accordance with administrative guidelines approved by the Board of Education.
