Administrative Regulation General Provisions A.
Short Title This
resolution shall be known and may be cited as “Board of Trustee
Administrative Regulations Governing Academic Faculty Employment.” B.
Words and
Phrases For
the purpose of this resolution, all words used herein in the present tense
shall include the future; all words in the plural number shall include the
singular number; all words in the singular number shall include the plural
number; all words in the masculine shall include the feminine.
C.
Separability If
any section, subsection, clause or phrase of this resolution is for any reason
held to be unconstitutional, such decision shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions of this resolution. D.
Execution of
Provisions It
shall be the duty of those placed in authority by this Board of Trustees to
execute the provisions of this resolution. E.
Academic
Employee/Management Committee An
Academic Employee-Management Committee, comprised of three members selected by
the Superintendent/President, three by the Senate, three by the Guild, shall
meet on a regular basis to review the administration of employment policies and
procedures and propose additional amendments as needed. This committee may serve as an appeals board
for complaints arising out of the administration of these personnel regulations
or personnel regulations adopted for academic faculty. The functions of this committee will not
include arbitration or grievances related to provisions of collective
bargaining contracts. F.
Final
Decisions All
decisions of the Board of Trustees shall be final. |
