BIOLOGICAL SCIENCE

Upon completion of this major, students will be able to describe and demonstrate correct use of laboratory equipment, be well qualified as transfer students to 4-year university science programs, and be well prepared for upper-division biology courses after transfer.
All courses used to satisfy the major for the Associate in Arts degree must be completed with a grade of "C" or better.

1. Eligibility for ENGL 120 or ESL 151
2. One of the following:
  1. MATH 101 or MATH 120 or MATH 220B or
  2. 1½ years of high school algebra with a grade of "C" or better
3. One of the following:
  1. CHEM 110 or
  2. 1 year of high school chemistry (with lab) with a grade of "C" or better, and satisfactory test scores on the Mathematics and Chemistry Placement Exams.
